  11. option key is held down.  This applies to both when the cdev is first
  12. selected and when the mount button is hit.  This is useful for the times
  13. when you only want to mount volumes quickly.  Also renamed the file simply
  14. to 'SCSI' as Darin suggested.

  17. after the Mac has booted.

  20. General Info
  21. ------------
  22. SCSI Tools is a small Control Panel Device (cdev to us programmers) that
  23. has two functions.  One, it provides a status display of your SCSI bus
  24. with lights corresponding to the 8 (0-7) id's.  Note the Mac is always
  25. assigned number 7 so it's always on.  Thanks to Steve Brecher for hints
  26. on implementing this function.  The second function is that it can mount
  27. SCSI devices (usually hard disks) with the mount button (buttons have
  28. drop shadows).  Handy when a hard disk has just been turned on or was
  29. dragged to the trash.  It will mount any disk that has been dragged to
  30. the trash, even non-SCSI disks.  This only works on local volumes, so
  31. AppleShare volumes will not be mounted after being dragged to the trash.

  33. SCSI Tools is useful if you are constantly mucking around with your
  34. SCSI setup.  To use it you need to be using System 4.0 or higher.
  35. To install SCSI Tools, just drag its icon (SCSI) into your
  36. System Folder and pull down the Control Panel desk accessory.
